ABOUT LAUREN

Lauren is a Journalist and Media Specialist with a passion for highlighting serious news topics such as social injustice, neurodiversity, mental health, and suicide prevention. These are just some of the many challenging subjects she is currently covering in her career.

​

Since becoming self-employed, Lauren has worked with an extensive range of clients, including Irish Community Care, an organisation supporting Irish communities across the North West of England. One of the key stories she is currently covering focuses on Mother and Baby Homes.

​

Lauren is also working to raise awareness around suicide prevention and postvention, continuing her long-standing commitment to mental health reporting.

​

In addition to her journalism work, Lauren has built a successful career as a presenter across TV, radio, podcasts, and digital platforms, where she has interviewed some of the biggest names in the media industry.

NEURODIVERSITY

A Topic Close To Heart

Lauren’s determination to raise much needed understanding for neurodiversity comes from her lived experience of being different and seeing the world in a different way. Lauren is neurodivergent and has a rare neurological condition PKC which she’s experienced adversities with throughout her life and still faces challenges with.

BDA Award winner 2023

Lauren was awarded the 2023 Cadogan award for Resilience for not only overcoming adversities in her life but also using her platform to raise understanding for dyslexia and

co-occuring neurodiverse conditions.
